Computer Network Technicians install, configure and troubleshoot local area and wide area networks. Their responsibilities encompass connecting the entire system of workstations, printers and modems to the Internet, email and other application servers via fiber optic and other types of cable. These technicians must keep their knowledge current with regard to the advances being made in convergence, bandwidth, speed of data transmission and operating systems.

  • Evaluate hardware and software efficiency, reliability and compatibility

Florida Career College Career Track

The Diploma program in Computer Network Technician is designed to prepare students to be able to continue their education in the FCC Computer Network Engineer Associate’s Degree program. Students may be able to continue on even further to the FCC Bachelors Degree program in Management Information Systems or Business Administration.
